Design Your Building

Top Your Farm Building Off Right!

In addition to enhancing the aesthetics of your structure, its roof style will also add to the overall structural integrity of the unit and determine how well your property will be protected throughout the years. We have three available roof styles here at Coast to Coast Carports, each designed for specific buildings and weather conditions.

P131

Vertical Roof Agriculture Buildings

Out of the several roof styles offered in the metal building industry, the vertical roof is the most durable, longest lasting, and most reliable. Unlike the other options available, vertical roofing systems are designed with additional framing pieces for extra stability and vertically aligned panels. While they are designed for all climate types, they are highly recommended for areas prone to extreme weather conditions.

P75

A-Frame Horizontal Roof Agriculture Buildings

Similar to our regular roof design, our A-frame horizontal roofing systems are another excellent option for protection. While they’re also installed with horizontal paneling, they are best suited for areas that may receive some high winds, but very light precipitation. Due to their box-like features, they are often referred to as boxed eave. The primary advantage of boxed eave roofs is the ability to own an A-frame style structure without the cost of a vertical roof.

P70

Regular Roof Agriculture Buildings

As the most standard, economical, and most affordable roofing system offered in the metal building industry, there are a number of reasons why people invest in our regular roofs. This style roof is designed and installed with horizontally oriented panels and rounded edges, making them an excellent option for both residential and agricultural purposes. These roofs provide the best protection for structures installed in areas with mild weather conditions.

Permits for Metal Agricultural Buildings

Depending on the building department in your area and their codes, you may be required to obtain a permit before having a steel building installed on your property. This will be determined by your city, county, local and state building codes. While we’re here to help you every step of the way, it’s your responsibility as the customer to find out if a permit is required. This, however, does not apply to New Mexico; Coast to Coast Carports will obtain your permit in New Mexico. For other questions or concerns, you’ll need to get in touch with your local building department.

In addition to our certified agricultural buildings, we also offer drawings and calculations with our certified structures. In order for your county to approve the permit you’ve obtained, drawings will need to be reviewed first. Areas that require a permit for most every building they have installed include Arizona, California, Nevada, and New Mexico. If you also reside near the coast and receive high winds often, you may need to have your structure certified for a certain wind load as well.
